On behalf of the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent and the people of the United States, I am pleased to extend best wishes to all people of the Muslim faith in Uzbekistan on the occasion of Ramadan-Hayit.
Ramadan is a time for thoughtful reflection, fasting, and devotion. Family, friends, and neighbors around the world, including in Uzbekistan and the United States, come together and celebrate the principles that bind people of different faiths.
As the Holy Month of Ramadan comes to a close, let us renew our commitment to peace, justice, equality, and compassion towards our fellow human beings, the very spirit of Ramadan.
I join the American people in wishing prosperity, happiness, and good health to the people of Uzbekistan in the year to come.
