Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2018

The organizers of “Perspektywy - Women in Tech Summit 2018” set an ambitious goal for themselves: to invite 1,000 talented women active in IT from the CEE and Central Asia region to come to Warsaw this November. They believe in the potential of women in technology, science and innovation, and that women will change the way we use technology to solve problems facing civilization.
Women of new technologies will meet in Warsaw, Poland, 27-28 November 2018 at "Perspektywy- Women in Tech Summit". The event will provide a platform for female talent in technology where students, professionals, researchers and top managers of global Hi Tech companies will share their experience, learn about possibilities open before women and inspire each other. They will discuss the future of IT technology, its social impact, and women’s contribution in this vital area.

The Summit will be the first event of this type in the region covering Central East Europe and Central Asia. The speakers and audience will include:
 managers and experts of leading global Hi Tech companies.
 practicing engineers and IT specialists
 talented IT and Engineering students from Poland, other EU countries, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and other countries
 researchers and activists working to increase the participation of women in STEM fields

Mariya Gabriel, EU Commissioner for digital economy and society, will address the Summit as its Special Guest. Among the main speakers there will be top managers representing global companies such as Google, Intel, Microsoft, Facebook, Samsung, Siemens, DELL and others.
The Summit will be accompanied by Career Fair where top technology companies interested in diversity culture in their organizations will present job offers for female students and young professionals.

The organizers will provide some grants to enable students and young engineers from the region to participate in the Summit.
The Women in Tech Summit 2018 is organized by the Perspektywy Education Foundation, a Polish private non-profit organization that for over a decade have support girls and women in STEM. Perspektywy’s “IT for SHE” project is a winner of the European Commission Digital Skills Award 2017 for the best program for women in IT in the European Union.

The Embassy of the United States of America in Warsaw, Poland is a partner of this event.
